Stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) This threadlike, colorless and minute roundworms causes deformed, twisted leaves and proliferation in flowers (bulbous plants). The plant takes on a blue-green hue. The roundworms live underground. The roundworm is also sometimes found in beans and carnations, phlox and hosta, where it can also reproduce.
