Insect hotel for parasitic wasps – a shelter mostly built of natural materials for parasitic wasps. Purpose: to attract parasitic wasps, the natural enemies of cabbage whiteflies, leafminers and other harmful insects. The best time to install an insect hotel is in the fall: the “hotels” have lost their novelty by February, so wasps can take up residence in early spring. An insect hotel, or insect wall for those who want to tackle it thoroughly right away, is easy to make yourself.
Insect hotels are also commercially available.
