Wasp Trap

A wasp trap can be made from a bottle yourself.

Wasp trap – a Wasp trap can be made from a bottle yourself. Take a plastic (PET) bottle, cut it open three-quarters from the bottom. Pour a cup of lemonade or other sweet liquid into the bottle and add a dash of dish soap. This lowers the surface tension of the liquid, causing the Wasp to immediately sink into the liquid. Place the cut-off top without cap inverted in the bottle to create a trap. Stick the two parts together with tape and place the Wasp trap in the (vegetable) garden. There are also ready-to-use Wasp traps for sale: these come with an attractant. This is often biodegradable (watch for that!) and works for three to four weeks.
